I have been watching Stargate:Universe religiously myself, though on occasion I am somewhat confused by the episodes' jumps and strange twists. There is a subthread about them being on Earth in the exact time they are on Destiny which I yet to reconcile in my writer's head. And Robert Carlyle is of particlar interest to me because (oddly enough) my s/o's last name is Carlyle, and his father, Richard Carlyle, happened to play "Lt. Yaeger" in the Star Trek episode "The Squire of Gothos". Richard's real name is Robert, but he had to change it because of the actor's code that you can't have two of anybody. As an even stranger twist of fate, the Carlyles I hang with are related to Thomas Carlyle, and I have often wondered if our SGU hero and they are all related. RC certainly looks like a Carlyle, both in body type and sentiment. I have asked, but nobody here knows if it's true or not.

As a side note, our Richard is declining in health and may not see the end of the month. I hope you will set aside a moment of reflection for an actor who developed his craft as a veteran of the stage and screen, and who taught others to be true professionals.

In the advent of the publication of my book Written In BLOOD in January I am offering free downloads of a sample PDF containing 10 chapters from the edited portion. The book is still in final draft and I hope to have it published by as late as January 25. Meanwhile, the PDF will be available until the end of the current year. To order, visit the product page at http://www.antellus.com/book/WrittenInBLOOD.html.

Written In BLOOD is the 8th book in my science fiction vampire series Children of The Dragon, a chronicle of the Xosan, living vampires from the planet Antellus. They are stories of science fiction, fact and fantasy, myth and history, tragedy and triumph, linked together by the theme of the vampire as hero.

Language is only the instrument of science, and words are but the signs of ideas.

Thanks for the recommend. We've been recording it but I've only seen the first two episodes. Sounds like I'd better find time to catch up.

Definitely! I also really love Robert Carlyle (one of my fave parts of the show - love how we're just never sure what he's really up to) & David Blue's characters, they are doing an amazing job. The storyline is super-intriguing...

Yes, Stargate Universe is a pleasant surprise. It's becoming a very intriguing show.

This is my new favorite show & not just because my brother-in-law is in it (he plays Marine Sargeant Spencer) - I can't wait to see more of where Stargate Universe is going! Check it out on Syfy & Space Channel Friday nights! :)

Yes, I know I'm a wee bit biased, but for true sci-fi lovers, Stephanie Osborn's Burnout is one heck of a ride! RUN (don't walk) to your bookstore and get your copy today. Or, better yet, contact Stephanie directly and see whether she can send you an autographed copy, as I did.

Marvelous read. Very thought provoking and action packed, full of drama, plot twists, and mystery. I read Burnout in one day. Couldn't put it down. I can only imagine the kind of movie this would make. It would be a box office smash.

Well done, Stephanie!!!
